Hello! My name is Tami Keeler and my husband and I attended KCTD #3. This year we celebrate our 30 year anniversary! Our family worships and serves wherever the Holy Spirit leads which is not just in one place at this time in our lives. We have a son, Kasen that is 23 and a daughter, Katelyn that will be turning 21 the week before our Tres Dias weekend! Both Kasen and Katelyn serve on our teen KC3 weekends. We also have 3 cats and a large breed dog that could count as 2 based on his weight!! There is never a dull moment in the Keeler household!
I am so blessed and honored to serve as your rector for the KCTD #27 weekend, Oct. 1-4th of this year! My theme for the weekend is Oil In My Lamp. This is based on the Parable of the 10 Bridesmaids in Matthew 25. My verses are Matt 25:4, Matt 25:10 and Matt 25:13. In these scriptures, we are told to be wise, ready and watchful. Oil often symbolizes our faith, relationship with God and the work of the Holy Spirit. We must learn how to remain faithful in the times of waiting and to be ready when He calls us. Preparation today determines readiness tomorrow.
My prayer is that we learn to be like the 5 wise Bridesmaids who were prepared and took extra oil in their lamp. Time is short and we need to be ready for the new season we’re stepping into. Take time to dwell in His presence. You’re going to need oil in your lamp…it’s getting dark out there! I am praying for you as we enter into this time to serve together as the hands and feet of Christ!
With love, grace and peace always,
Tami Keeler
